J brew Solutions is an IT consulting and cybersecurity company based in Centurion. We create exciting digital solutions for our clients and help them find highly skilled resources.

We are looking for a Learning and Development (Training) Officer to join our team and will be based in Sandton for a 12 month‘s contract, main job functions would be to provide a comprehensive training and development service to the company to ensure that all staff achieve high professional standards and that they have the necessary skills to help the company attain its strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:

Training Strategy:
Collaborate with HR Manager on Learning and Development Strategy.
Assist in creating an annual training plan that aligns with staff objectives and development opportunities.
Obtain approval from Managers for strategy implementation.
Training Needs Analysis:
Analyze the organization’s training needs by consulting with Division Managers.
Source relevant training from external providers to meet identified needs.
Conduct annual skills gap analysis and make recommendations for training interventions.
Training Management:
Implement Mentorship and Coaching programs.
Provide on-the-job training in areas such as personal development, accredited learning programs, and in-house training.
Manage the Training portfolio.
Design and implement compliant Training processes and policies.
Create learning materials tailored to organization-specific needs.
Research and attend training seminars for best practices.
Evaluate external Training Providers for credibility.
Liaise with Sector Education and Training Authorities for learnerships/apprenticeship/skills programs.
Develop various training interventions for employee education and development.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Ensure partner obligations are met and expectations exceeded.
Resolve training-related queries.
Maintain relations with external stakeholders.
Risk Management:
Mitigate departmental risks through fraud controls and risk prevention.
Implement governance and compliance processes.
Identify and address internal system and procedural barriers.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Financial Focus:
Manage operating costs to align with expected outcomes.
Implement cost-saving initiatives.
Contribute to the annual Training budget plan.
Track expenditure regularly.
Reporting:
Maintain employee training records.
Produce Monthly Training reports with trend analysis.
Provide accurate Training & Development data to support decision-making.
Personal Development:
Create and implement a personal development plan.
Lead by example in demonstrating trust, loyalty, and responsibility.

Background:
Matric
3 Year relevant HR / Training Degree or HR Diploma
Must be a registered SDF with any of the SETAs.
3-5 years Industry Specific experience required.
Member of a HR or Skill Development specific professional body such as ASDSA (Association for Skills Development in South Africa) or SABPP (South African Board for People Practices) is advantageous.
Competency Requirements:
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in the relevant Microsoft Office suite.
Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
A proven track record partnering with business to deliver training Initiatives across different aspects of the business including technical training.
Experience with analysing data and generating insights to guide business decision making.
A proven track record of establishing excellent relationships with stakeholders and an energetic approach to work.
